Washington, Idaho, Montana & Oregon
We deliver and install gun safes throughout the greater PNW and beyond. Outside of our delivery zone? We’ve established relationships with the best delivery crews in the nation!
Complex Installations
If there’s a way to get your safe installed, we’ll find it — even if that means bringing in a crane, barging it across a lake or carefully taking it down a steep, rocky hill.
Last-Second Moves
Need your safe moved today? No is not a word you’ll commonly find in our vocabulary. We’ll do everything in our power to help you out in a pinch.
Personalized, Professional Gun Safe Movers
We’re not a one-size-fits-all safe moving company. We tailor our services to meet your needs — whether we’re installing your safe in a downtown Seattle condo; home in Spokane Valley; or ranch outside of Boseman, Montana.
Why Does Delivering a Safe Cost So Much?
Whether you’re getting a gun safe, home safe or commercial safe delivered, it’s no small feet. There’s a lot of factors that go into the cost of delivering a safe:
Timeframe
Depending on your timeframe, the cost of delivering your safe may be more to accommodate a last-second schedule.
Ease of Removal & Installation
Where your safe needs to be removed from and/or installed will also impact the cost of your safe.
Location
Another factor to consider is the distance to the delivery and installation site.
Current Rates
Our current rates are impacted by the cost of gas, tolls, and other expenses associated with our crews’ operation.
Experienced Delivery Crew
We don’t send just anyone to deliver and install your safe. Our delivery crew goes through extensive training to ensure your safe is installed correctly.
Specialized Tools
We use door jamb protectors, slide sticks (also known as slick slides), and electric stair-climbing hand trucks to safely move your safe into place.
Clean & Inconspicuous Delivery Trucks
We don’t pull up to your house or place of businesses in a heavily branded truck or a dirty rig. Our delivery trucks are inconspicuous and clean.
Fully Inspected Safe
Before your safe even leaves our warehouse, it’s fully inspected by our crew to make sure it’s in working order. It is then inspected again when it’s delivered.
Temporary Storage
In the event your safe needs to be temporarily stored, this can also impact the moving costs.
How to Prepare Your Home for Delivery
At least 2 days before your delivery date, we’ll call with a 2-hour delivery window. The day of delivery, we’ll call when en-route, at least 30-60 minutes before our delivery specialists arrive so there’s no need to sit at home all day.
Prior to our arrival, we ask that:
- You are Fully Clothed
- Have all Vehicles Moved for Our Path of Entry and Branches Trimmed
- Have all Animals and Small Children Secured
- Have Completely Cleared the Path to all Necessary Points of Entry
Gun Safe Delivery FAQ
How much will it cost to move my safe?
As we outlined above, the cost of delivering and/or moving your safe is dependent on a lot of different factors, including current rates, timeframe, distance, and ease of removal and installation.
Why did the cost of moving my safe change?
Wondering why the cost of moving a safe is more than installing a new safe? This is a common question we get. Moving a safe is often twice the work of installing a safe because we have to extract the safe out of the old home and then transport it to the new home where it’s installed.
I Had a Delivery Estimate. Why Did It Change?
Our delivery estimates are based on the current cost of goods and services. As such, we can only guarantee our estimates for a small window. We recognize this can be challenging and create some confusion, which is why we’ve updated all of our estimates to clearly define how soon a move must be booked and within what timeframe the move must take place.
Do you offer same-day moves?
Yes. We offer same-day moves. This can include opening up a locked safe, unbolting it from the ground, removing it from the premises, storing it, re-installing it or delivering it to a new location.
Why are same-day moves so expensive?
Our delivery and install team is scheduled at least a week in advance. Doing a same-day move requires last-minute adjustments to the schedule, which generally result in bringing in additional help with next to no notice. Furthermore, same-day moves almost never fit within a pre-scheduled route, requiring a team to make a special trip to remove the safe in question.
What Information Do I Need to Provide When Requesting a Quote?
In some instances we will need additional information to provide a quote, but generally we need:
-
Make and Model of Your Safe (A picture can often take the place of these details)
-
Location Within the House or Business the Safe is Located (including number of stairs)
-
Address of Where the Safe is Located
-
Address of Where the Safe Needs to be Moved
-
Timeline of When the Safe Needs to be Moved
What Precautions Do You Take to Protect My Property?
Prior to taking a safe through any doorway, we cover the doorway with door jamb protectors. To protect your floors we use Slick Sticks — a protective equipment aht allows us to protect the floor’s surface and disperse the safe’s weight. This unique level of floor protection is particularly important when moving a safe across sensitive surfaces like hardwood, marble, and transitions (like tile to carpet or thresholds).
Additionally, our electric stair-climbing hand trucks help us gently move your safe up stairs without placing excess pressure on the edge of your stairs.
Can I install a gun safe myself, or should I hire a professional?
Yes, you can install a gun safe yourself. It’s a free country. But you’ll want to keep in mind the tools and expertise needed to protect yourself and your home. Gun safes and home safes are large and very heavy. Mishandling them can pose a serious threat to your safety.
Can I Install My Safe on the Second Story?
Definitely. Our delivery team regularly installs safes on the second floor of homes and office buildings. We can also handle installations on higher floors, whether it's the third, fifth, or even tenth story
What’s the Difference Between Curbside and Full-Service Delivery?
Many big-box stores offer curbside delivery, which might seem like an affordable option at first glance. After all, grabbing a few friends, some drinks, and tackling a heavy-duty project sounds doable, right?
That might work for a safe weighing a few hundred pounds. But when it comes to maneuvering and installing a steel box that weighs 300 pounds or more, it's a different story. Without the proper skills and tools, you could easily find yourself stuck — whether you're a strong guy or a determined mom.
Can You Put a Gun Safe in the Garage?
Conventional wisdom advises against installing a gun safe in a garage, especially an unheated one. However, with the proper precautions and maintenance, installing a gun safe in the garage is can be an excellent choice. More than a quarter of the safes we deliver are installed in a garage or shop.
