If you’ve ever looked at high-security safes and thought, “How much safer can a safe really get?” the ISM Super Diamond TXTL-60x6 is your answer. This is not a typical “home safe.” It’s a serious, commercial-grade vault safe built for extreme threats—like skilled attackers with heavy tools, torches, and even explosives.

We’ve been selling safes since 1988. We’ve helped thousands of businesses and individuals protect their valuables and loved ones. And we can confidently say, this is the highest-security safe we’ve ever seen. As one of the few dealers who regularly stocks them, we’ve personally inspected them, and these big boys are beasts.

Who needs a safe this strong? What does the TXTL-60x6 rating actually mean? And why is this safe really worth the hype? We’re going to give you our honest insights into exactly those questions so you can decide if this is the right safe for you.

First Impression: The Super Diamond Is Built Like a Bunker

The Super Diamond is ISM’s “top of the line” safe. ISM says it was created because they believed a safe with this kind of protection could be made at a cost that still made sense for customers facing extreme risk.

What Stands Out in The Build

  • A very thick door (ISM describes the door as 10 inches overall)

  • Alchronite, ISM’s patented composite material is torch and drill resistant

  • Copper bars around the door frame area for added torch resistance

  • A cast, one-piece body design for extra strength

  • Fire protection layers including, ISM’s insulation material (they call it Insutex)

  • A glass-based relocker system designed to trigger extra locking if someone tampers with key areas

This is the kind of safe where the manufacturer is thinking about attacks that most people never face — like torch work around the frame, deep drilling, and advanced break-in methods.

Real-World Pros and Cons

PROS CONS

Extreme burglary resistance. TXTL-60x6 is designed for worst-case scenarios: full attack, multiple methods, long duration.

Cost and logistics. Safes in this class are expensive, and they are heavy and difficult to install. This is not a “delivery to the spare bedroom” purchase.

Serious torch and drill defenses. Built with ISM’s composite armor (Alchronite), it also features copper protection around the frame, and strong bolt/lock protection.

You might be paying for protection you don’t need.
If your risk is a smash-and-grab burglar, this is like buying an armored vehicle to drive to the grocery store.

Built for high-value contents. Cash, jewelry, bullion, rare collectibles, sensitive documents—this safe exists for people who lose sleep over theft risk.

Space tradeoff. High-security composite construction means thicker walls and door, which can reduce interior space compared to the outside dimensions.

What Is ISM?

ISM stands for Israel Safe Manufacturer. Located in the Barkan Industrial Zone in Israel, it is known for building high-security safes for businesses and high-risk storage needs.

On ISM’s own site, they describe their safes as coming from Israel and being used by places like jewelry stores, banks, medical facilities, casinos, universities, and homeowners who want top-level security.

ISM isn’t trying to compete with big-box “gun safes.” Their focus is the world of true burglary-resistant safes, where the design goal is simple:

Delay the attacker long enough that they give up—or get caught.

Discover why ISM safes, built since 1914, are the gold standard in security and fire protection—offering unmatched strength, durability, and peace of mind.

What “TXTL-60x6” Means (In Plain English)

Safe ratings can sound like alphabet soup, so here’s the easy translation:

  • T = tool attack (drills, grinders, saws, etc.)

  • X = explosives resistance

  • T + TL = torch + tool resistance

  • 60 = the safe must resist an attack for 60 minutes of “working time”

  • x6 = the safe is attacked on all six sides (door, back, sides, top, bottom)

“Working Time”

“Working time” is a term that refers to the time someone is actively trying to break into a safe when the safe is being tested, such as a test conducted by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). During these tests, if the expert safe technicians take a break from working on the safe for any reason - going to the bathroom, getting a new tool, having a bite to eat, or taking a nap - the clock is paused. In reality, a 60-minute rating could have spanned hours or even a couple of days.

Why the TXTL Rating “Isn’t UL Rated”

Let’s get something straight, TXTL safes are not UL listed. The UL rating is awarded by Underwriters Laboratories (referenced above). A third-party testing agency, UL ratings are respected worldwide for their accuracy.

In order to get a safe UL listed, you must provide full schematics of the safe and the safe itself to be fully dismantled by Underwriters Laboratories technicians. In addition to the expense of the safe, you also have to pay to have the safe tested — which is extremely costly.

At this point, ISM has not deemed it a necessary cost for the TXTL product. This is largely due to the fact that UL ratings are typically important for insurance purposes and currently no insurance company requires a TXTL rating.

That being said, TXTL safes are upgraded versions of ISM’s TRTL-60X6 Super Platinum safes. And, Super Platinum safes are insurable for up to 8 million dollars in value.

Furthermore, the largest TXTL Super Diamond customer is the US Government, which conducts its own independent testing. When you buy a Super Diamond you're literally purchasing the same safe used by the DOD, on nuclear submarines, etc.

If you want the best, invest in ISM.

Who Should Buy a Super Diamond?

This safe is for people who need protection from serious, targeted theft—not just “someone might break in someday.”

You should consider the Super Diamond if:

You store very high value in a single location

  • Jewelers and watch collectors

  • Bullion and rare coin owners

  • Cash-heavy businesses

  • High-end collectors (memorabilia, artifacts, luxury goods)

Your threat is skilled and determined

If your concern includes:

  • Power tools and time

  • Torches

  • A planned attack (not random)

  • Someone who knows what you have

  • Someone who might use explosive to open your safe

Then a TXTL-class safe starts to make sense.

You need extreme peace of mind

Some people buy this safe for one reason: they never want to wonder if their safe is “good enough.”

Who Should NOT Buy It?

You probably don’t need a Super Diamond if:

  • You mainly want a safe for basic home burglary deterrence

  • You’re storing moderate value

  • You don’t have a practical plan for installation, anchoring, and placement

Final Verdict — The World’s Most Secure Safe

The ISM TXTL-60x6 Super Diamond is a rare kind of product: a safe built for people who are not guessing about risk—they know they are a target. If you truly need top-tier protection, this safe is one of the most serious options you can buy.
