Built with an 11-gauge steel body, a reinforced 10-gauge door featuring a ¾" solid steel edge, and Champion’s four-way active bolt system, the Estate 17 provides robust resistance against pry attacks and tampering. Its 2-hour fire rating at 1200°F ensures extended protection from heat and smoke — outperforming many safes that are only tested for 60–75 minutes at the same temperature.

Unlike many competitors that are imported from China, the Champion Estate 17 is assembled in Mexico using U.S.-made steel, resulting in greater consistency and material strength. Inside, a plush velour interior, adjustable shelving, and premium fit-and-finish make it ideal for organizing long guns, documents, cash, and heirlooms.

The Estate 17 also stands taller than most home safes — a feature we highly recommend.
