3. Outdoor Emporium & Sportco
Outdoor Emporium in Seattle and Sportco in Tacoma were founded in 1975. They offer a large selection of outdoor products at affordable prices. Farwest Sports, a multimillion-dollar business, owns and operates them. Lonnie Schmidt, one of the company’s founders, also owns and operates the business.
Both Outdoor Emporium and Sportco carry a selection of gun safes, security vaults, office safes, handgun safes, and portable safes. They carry the popular ShotLock Solo-Vaults. They also have different Sports Afield and Winchester gun safes.
When purchasing a safe online, customers can only select in-store pickup. If a customer would like their safe delivered, they need to call for details. However, at this time, in-store pickup is not available at Outdoor Emporium due to staffing issues.
4. Tracker Safe
Tracker Safe was founded by two brothers in 2008 — Luke and Zach Boyer. They have two retail locations, one in Kent, WA and the other in Vancouver, WA. You can also find their safes for sale at other local retailers.
The majority of the Tracker Safe products are made in China and imported to their Vancouver headquarters. Once they receive the items, workers in the US inspect them and often outfit them with locks.
Their safes range from small security safes and deposit boxes to small fire safes and large rifle safes. Additionally, Tracker Safe offers delivery and moving services in greater Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR areas only.

Buying the Right Gun Safe
As we said, buying a gun safe isn’t like grabbing a new tube of toothpaste. It’s an investment — one that plays an essential role in protecting your firearms and valuables. And, you want to get advice you can trust.
For instance, if anyone tells you they sell ‘fireproof’ safes — leave. There is no such thing as a fireproof safe, and anyone who tells you otherwise may well be selling snake oil in the back room.
Even if you choose to buy your gun safe from another place, we still encourage you to talk to our staff. You can reach out by phone or visit us in person. We can help you determine how big of a safe you need, where you can install your safe, what to consider when comparing fire ratings, and more.
